Eileen McGeown studied Fine Art in the North of England in the late 70's and now runs art classes in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. She currently exhibits as part of the 4 Seasons Artists
group and with local art societies, Romsey Art Group
and Chandlers Ford Art Group
Eileen has previously exhibited in The Best of Hampshire Artists and taken part in the Hampshire Open Studios
event. She has also displayed her work in group exhibitions shown at The Mountbatten Gallery, Mottisfont Abbey and various other local venues.
Eileen McGeown's recent portfolio focuses on Still Life and her work is often inspired by nature. She is passionate about her art and primarily uses watercolour, mixed media and acrylic to create a wide range of texture and pattern within her artwork.
"The main inspiration and aim of my work is to explore colour, pattern and light regardless of the subject. Sometimes the expressive nature of the paint itself dictates the end result and the work evolves through the process
